WHY WATCHES MATTER
At our events, watches are more than accessories. They are the perfect ice breaker. A watch carries meaning, memory and personality, which makes it one of the easiest ways for strangers to connect. When someone shares the story behind what they are wearing, it opens a door. It turns small talk into real conversation and creates the kind of atmosphere this community is built on.
Below are photos of watches from the previous events.
FAQ
What if I don’t have a watch?
That’s completely fine. You’re welcome with or without one. Many people come for the connection, the stories and the atmosphere. A watch is just an optional talking point, not a requirement.
What if I only have a Seiko or Casio?
Perfect. Seiko and Casio have some of the strongest stories in watch culture. Your watch doesn’t need to be expensive to be meaningful. What matters is why you chose it or what it represents to you.
What if I’m not really into watches?
No problem at all. You don’t need to be a collector or enthusiast. The watch theme gives people an easy way to start conversations, but plenty of guests simply enjoy the vibe, the cars, the storytelling and the people.
What if I don’t like wearing anything on my wrist?
You’re still welcome. Bring the watch in your pocket if you want to join in the fun, or simply skip it. You won’t stand out. Many people come for the event itself, not the wristwear.
Is this a show-off environment?
Not here. The culture at Cars, Watches and Legacy is grounded, warm and respectful. You’ll see rare pieces, but you’ll also see everyday watches worn with pride. The focus is on the humans wearing them, not the flex.
Do I need to know anything about watches?
No. Curiosity is enough. If you have a story, a memory or even just a piece you like the look of, that’s all you need.
Can I wear a smart watch?
Of course. Apple Watches and Garmins have stories too. If it represents your lifestyle or achievements, it belongs.
Can I bring more than one watch?
If you want to, yes. Some people enjoy showing a couple of pieces, but it’s never expected.
