His ceramic Hublot watch is not a luxury item for him. It is a marker of survival, gratitude and progress. Every time he looks at it, it reminds him of everything he has overcome. Today, he is a doctor, researcher and nationally recognised advocate, proving that purpose does not disappear when life falls apart. It is rebuilt, piece by piece.

The Fellowship of a cure
Dr Rob Henderson has spent more than 25 years treating and researching motor neurone disease. He knows exactly what slows progress. It is not a lack of ideas. It is a lack of long term funding to keep brilliant researchers in the field. His mission is to change that. Through the Nerve Connection Foundation, Dr Rob is building Fellowships that give researchers the stability they need to focus fully on finding a cure. His presentation is a clear look at where we are today, what needs to happen next and how philanthropy can directly accelerate breakthroughs.
